About Us

A Special Connection Foundation provides services for children with special needs through the state. We are a non-profit organization that is partially funded by the state. We were founded in 2007 by Lori Jobe.

The mission of A Special Connection LLC is to bring unity to all aspects of the community.  We want our staff, direct care providers, parents, and clients to be part of the whole picture, bringing growth, education, and most importantly understanding to the community.  In order to do so our plan is to provide the highest quality services that our clients deserve.

We provide Respite, Habilitation and Attendant Care services. Our services are provided in both a center environment as well as in the home.

Respite services include play time or relax time, like nap time, or anything not covered by Habilitation services. Habilitation services are specific goals created by a Support Coordinator (designated by DDD), parents, Therapists, etc. These goals mostly include self help skills, and social development/interaction. Attendant Care services include direct care for the individual including feeding, bathing, dressing, etc.

Every client will be treated individually and equally, while providing the highest level of communication and education.  We are commited to long-term relationships with everyone involved and encourage parent/guardian participation in the services we provide.
